Welcome! If you would like to join the grotto or renew membership, please:

1. Submit the online form linked above (Google account required)
2. Sign the liability waiver
3. Pay dues by any of these options:
   • Issue a payment via PayPal to treasurer@sfbaycaving.org
   • Issue a payment via Zelle to treasurer@sfbaycaving.org
   • Write a check payable to SFBC-NSS and mail to: SFBC-NSS c/o Treasurer, PO Box 2282, Menlo Park, CA 94026

Once all three have been submitted, you will be added to the “members” mailing list. Please be patient and wait a few days, SFBC is run by volunteers! If you encounter any issues, please email execs [at] sfbaycaving.org.

Membership includes:

• Email list for caving trips and events
• An electronic subscription to the SFBC Newsletter
• Membership in the NSS Western Region and subscription to the Western Caver newsletter
• For full members, voting privileges in grotto elections and region meetings
• Access to SFBC Wiki of Caves
• Access to recorded presentations given at Grotto Meetings
• Access to SFBC newsletters and archives including our Xappian PDF Search Engine
• Participation in grotto expeditions, cave trips, and activities.
• Eligible to apply for the SFBC Trip Fund.

Dues Schedule – The form was updated 12/7/2025 to reflect new Western Region dues, current dues are as follows:

• $25 standard SFBC membership +  Western Region membership
• +$2 each additional family member
• +$5 Diablo Grotto joint (associate) membership
• +$10 for printed newsletters
• -$15 opt out of Western Region/pay through another grotto
