Explore Caving
Come visit a grotto meeting and get signed up for a trip. Monthly trips to caves for both beginners and long time cavers focus on our core values of conservation, exploration, preservation, and the protection of caves. All are welcome.

Vertical Practice
A monthly Vertical Practice/Potluck is usually held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at rotating locations in San Francisco and San Jose. Call or email beforehand to confirm the location and time. Everyone is invited to come to practice his/her vertical skills and/or socialize. Please bring your own main course and something to share with others. Other Vertical Practices are planned, which will be announced. Check the calendar for the most up to date information.
26 August SFBC Meeting
The August 2014 SFBC meeting will be held at the Menlo Park USGS Conference Room Bldg 3 Tuesday 26 August at 7:30PM. Matthew Garrett will be giving a talk on his experiences in China where he spent three years living, working, caving and traveling.

Caver Happy Hour
March 25th Monthly Grotto Meeting
The March SFBC March meeting will be held at the USGS facility Tuesday 25 March at 7:30PM. Bruce White will show a video on the caves of Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia (TAG) which is the site of this years NSS convention.
February 25 Grotto Meeting
SFBC Member Bruce White, who has been caving for
21 years in 14 US states and 5 countries will describe his 2009 through
trip in Great Expectations Cave in Wyoming, one of the more treacherous
caves in the US with vertical drops and frigid whitewater.
Members meeting Tuesday 28 January
All are welcome to the USGS at 7:30PM for a presentation by Alan Chern on his recent exploration of the amazingly beautiful Onyx Cave in Arizona.
November SFBC Meeting
The November meeting will be held at 7:30PM at the USGS Conference room.
The program will be a potpourri of SFBC Member’s trips throughout
this year including a video on the recent Arizona Onyx Cave
Trip. Attendees are encouraged to bring their pictures in digital format.
